Dear Choir Members,

Thank you for coming for the Sectional Training on 6th Feb 2009. Feedback on the progress is positive. I hope to see the effect tomorrow during your formal combined practices. Your choir leaders and I have reviewed that day's progress and we will be updating you on how the sectional will be conducted during subsequent Friday Sessions in order to make it more effective and efficient. If you have any suggestions on how to make sectionals more efficient (and FUN) please do feedback to any of your Choir Leaders.

Tomorrow's practice will continue as normal. I have noticed that the lower secondary are coming in only at 3pm. As a result, warm ups starts only at about 3.10pm. Do remember what I told you all about being punctual. Training should start at 3pm sharp. That means that all lower secondary member and upper secondary member who do not have to go for ACE will report to the History Room before 3pm. I have lessons till 2.30pm and I make it a point to open the doors for you no later than 2.40pm. I would definitely appreciate it if you can reciprocate the effort.

Reflection on Training Today//Tuesday, February 3, 2009//10:01 PM

Dear Choir Members,

Please take note of the following;

Discipline

There's still a lot of room for improvement where discipline is concerned. Section Leaders and Presidents, please look into this. I would like to see the choir being more attentive during training. Section Leaders who find that your section has been left along for too long, please ask Mr Hu if you can go for sectional training and ask for a time to return.

Singing Assessment

Mr Hu and I will be testing your singing on Thursday. Every member will be tested on your ability to your parts. Please learn your part well. We will be focusing on Pitch (accuracy) and Timing. We will be testing individual members ability to sing with other parts. Please make an effort to learn your parts. Section Leaders, please ensure that all your new secondary one section members have the mp3 by Thursday.

Practice on Thursday

All upper secondary members (including the presidents) will report at 4pm this Thursday. Please make use of this extra hour to study for the common test or catch up with work.
