I'd just like to pen down some thoughts which I have after attending the WYCF. 

Honestly, I was totally lost at the reading sessions. Most of the participants are conductors or vocal teachers. They sight sing as fast as they can read English. My sight singing cannot make it. None the less, I enjoyed the reading sessions in the morning when Mr Bob Chilcott was rehearsing with the combined choir. He was very inspirational. He constantly uses of analogy and body movements to bring out the character of the songs. Of the songs conducted by him, I like "The Goose and the Swan" most. 

I was moved by the singing of the Festival Choir on during the Closing Gala Concert. Particularly, I could see that Teresa was totally immersed in the song "Everlasting Melody". Grace, Lynette and Yvonne were also great. Although singing non English songs, their facial expression reflects understanding of the song which they were singing. I'm proud of all four of you for being able to learn you songs in such a short period of time.

I hope that this experience is a meaningful and memorable one. I also hope that you were able to experience the high of choral singing... many people singing in one voice.

I hope that you all will bring back some good practices to motivate our own choir to achieve great results in next year's SYF Central Judging.
